Having a child with a disability can be hard.
But it can also be profoundly beautiful.
I write to offer mother’s hope and encouragement, no matter what you might be facing.
Author. Speaker. Connector.
Motherhood is full of many ups, downs and unexpected turns. For most of us, our lives after having children rarely looks exactly as we had planned.
As a writer, I put words of hope and encouragement to the complex, often messy and unspoken experiences and emotions of motherhood.
I share my stories of navigating grief, faith, mental health and parenting a medically complex child, so that we can all feel less alone on our motherhood journey.
Sometimes our best life is the one we never expected.

Hi, I’m Ashley!
Like many fellow type-A, first born daughters, I’m a recovering perfectionist.
I’ve spent most my life making plans and setting high expectations for my life….only to realize very often God has had different ideas.
I’m currently learning to surrender and embrace the beauty in the unexpected and the messy.
Life often isn't easy, but God is good.
I look forward to getting to know each other better!
“Ashley’s book was exactly what I needed to get through the darkest season of my life. All mom’s can benefit from her story.”
